Melanie Fiona - Give It To Me Right (2009)

One album you need to get and cherish.
Some will say this one is somewhat left field. And they would be right. It is. Just what the doctor ordered for hearing something out of the ordinary. Canadian Soul/R&B singer Melanie Fiona with ‘Give It To Me Right’ from her 2009 ‘The Bridge’ album.  The recording samples The Zombies 1968 psychedelic ‘Time of the Season’ intro to create a spine tingling soulful, atmospheric down tempo shuffler. Her retro Soul  ‘You stop My Heart’ from the album could work in more progressive Northern across the board venues.

Seriously retro video.
