Lucy Pearl - Don't Mess With My Man

When this track hit the scene it was massive. It was still getting plays in the (Propa) Modern Room at TSOP (The Sound of Prestwich) in North Manchester as late as 2003/4. Lucy Pearl was a short lived supergroup with changing personnel. The original trio consisted of Raphael Saddiq,  Dawn Robinson (of En Vogue) and Ali Shaheed Mohammed but Robinson soon let to be replaced by Joi. By 2002 the group had pretty much gone inactive after enjoying two massive hits with Don't Mess With My Man and Dance With Me. Anyone who recollects the TSOP days will remember just how popular this was with those who packed that tiny room off the main dance hall.  Listening to this again I think it's time it was dusted off and resurrected. It's that good. No, it really is...have a listen and watch the original line up in action. (Still easily available on CD for not many peso's. Or if you must on poor quality audio and not value for money download).
