Montell Jordan is now a born again Christian working in the ministry at the Victory World Church in Georgia. He has abandoned his music career in favour of religion leaving his South Central LA roots behind. During the 90s he was the mainstay artist of the Def Soul label providing it with their biggest hit This Is How We Do It (1995). Today's featured track is his 1999 hit Get It On Tonite. Yes, it was a commercial success, and yes it featured in the movie Save The Last Dance. So what? When it's good it's good. I do wonder now that Jordan has got religion what he thinks of his song and especially the promotional video that was released at the time? The adult theme together with the highly erotic video about betrayal and adultery makes for interesting conjecture. (Link to video and song in the photo below). Enjoy.
